It's Valentine season again and it's all about red and pink. In the spirit of the season I itched for a red lipstick or two as I only had about one or two red shades in my minimalistic lipstick collection. So, to Essenza I went and got me a Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture The Mats 202 Rose Crazy and a Lancome L'absolu Rouge Pense A Moi 131.
Lancome L'absolu Rouge Pense A Moi 131Pense A Moi which is French for Think of me is a very pigmented satiny lipstick by Lancome. The Shade seems to be a cross between burgundy and plum or a grown up berry. It's very moisturizing and equally long lasting. 
Rouge Pur Couture The Mats 202 Rose CrazyThe Rouge Pur Couture The Mats is the matte shade collection of the iconic YSL lipstick.Rose Crazy 202 is a pretty intensely pigmented blue toned red lipstick. YSL claims it makes the lip look fuller, but I wouldn't know, my lips are full enough. For a matte lipstick it glides on easily and isn't drying at all which is a big plus. Depending on light conditions the Rose Crazy could appear to be a deep fushia shade or rich vintage-y red. Either way it's super flattering.
