Attention Beauty Lovers!! I am finally back with beauty hacks! I have missed doing these so much! This week’s beauty hack is a way to get rid of dark circles. I have awful dark circles and nothing gets rid of them. I am really hoping this hack works. I saw this on Instagram somewhere and I couldn’t wait to try it! WHAT YOU NEED:
- 1/4 tsp. Turmeric
- 2 tsp. Buttermilk
- Mixing Bowl
- Foundation Brush (to apply product)
All you need to do is mix 1/4 tsp Turmeric with 2 tsp. Buttermilk. Mix well in bowl. With foundation brush, apply to under eyes (in triangular shape). Wait 20 minutes and rinse off. If left with a yellow cast, use an oil to remove dye (Turmeric can dye skin…but is easily removable). Note: Do not get product too close to eye because you don’t want the spice in your eye. Also, you can keep the mixture in the fridge for a week. However, make sure to discard after one week.
RESULTS:
I had so much fun mixing this mixture. I really love DIY beauty recipes. The mixture was really yellow and I couldn’t wait to apply it to my face. It was very easy to apply and dried fairly quickly. I was really surprised that is wasn’t messy and didn’t run all down my face. The mixture felt so cooling on the skin and I can definitely see how it would help with depuffing the eyes. After a few minutes, I could really feel my under eye area tightening. It was amazing how tight that area felt. I have never used a store bought product that I could feel that well. It wasn’t painful at all, but I really felt like it was doing something. I also really enjoyed the smell! Turmeric has a very nice spice scent that is not overpowering.
When I took the dried turmeric off my face, I was amazing. This hack really works. It is the only hack I have found for dark circles that I can actually see and feel a difference. It wasn’t hard to remove at all and I really could see my dark circles were lessened. You can see in the pictures. I don’t have concealer on at all. I was shocked. I also noticed that my under eyes were smooth and my fine lines were less noticeable. After taking the picture, I applied my eye cream and it went on so smooth. To say I am a fan of this hack is an understatement. It doesn’t only work for dark skinned girls…it also works for us paler than ghost girls. You seriously need to try this hack and it is so inexpensive. I highly recommend this hack for dark circles.
