BEACONS FESTIVAL 17th – 19th August 2012

By Wildchildmedia @wildchildmedia

Beacons festival is back this year with a vengeance after an unfortunate series of events last year which led to the event being cancelled due to extreme flooding the day before the festival was due to go ahead.

The beacons team did not let this stop them, however, and worked tirelessly to refund all their ticket sales, and plan a festival which captures the hearts of us all to ensure that fans and supporters of beacons were not left disappointed.

This year the festival is back bigger and better than ever, nestled in the countryside just outside picturesque Skipton with headline artists such as Wild Beasts, Toots and The Maytals, Roots Manuva and Patrick Wolf, as well as whole host of amazing international as well as local bands.

The entertainment doesn’t just stop there, Beacons prides itself on being a family friendly event and there are many other things to see and do throughout the weekend. The festival is also home to numerous art installations such as a stunning collection of Nebula paintings by Artist Natalie Winwood, as well as fancy dress and make-up stalls, delicious food, healing area as well as many family attractions, including the famous ladybird project, which offers a whole host of activities the whole family can be a part of.

Wildchildmedia will be sending one of our team of photographers to capture what promises to be one hell of a weekend.
