BATMAN ETERNAL #2 Review

Posted on the 16 April 2014 by Geekasms @geekasms

Oh. My. Lord. This chapter made me have a Geekasm.  What did we do to deserve such awesomeness?

Starting out, we have Mayor Sebastian Hady talking with a mysterious man. Who is it?!? Vicki Vale gets strong armed into posting the story that Gordon was arrested.  This sets off the series of panels that just spews the greatness that will come from this series.  We see Batgirl, Harper Row, Red Hood, Lucius Fox, Batwoman and Red Robin all on a single spread. Ummm, yes!  Batman knows that Gordon is innocent and needs to figure out how and why this whole debacle happened.  We get teased some more with different villains popping up.  Some old.  Some not so popular. Some are just unexpected.   Low and behold Batman makes a discovery and it scares him.  Yes, scares Batman.  Who could be in town that has Batman’s “tights in a bunch”?

I am EXTREMELY glad I decided to read this series.  It might seem like a no brainer if you know me but books cost money and this being a standard price book AND weekly, it will add up.  I am making sacrifices to read Batman just like he does for Gotham.  I am a fan of Scott Snyder and I am becoming a big fan of Jason Fabok’s work.  This is the epitome of a killer creative team. Exciting book from start to finish and has me wanting more.  If Batman was a drug, this series would be my fix.
