BATMAN ETERNAL #14 Review

Man oh man.   Batman Eternal is on fire!   This book is getting better and better as the story moves on.  It has been a little while since I was so excited to turn the page to see what was next but Batman Eternal #14 has done it for me.  Along from the story being awesome (to say the least), Jason Fabok is back on art duty and damn is it beautiful.  I love the style that it brings to this title.

So much greatness has happen in this book, it is hard not to spoil anything.  Penguin has had about enough of Falcone and goes on a bit of a rampage.  Bard takes his criminal round up to the next level and might have ticked off Batman a bit but I’m not too sure.  Harper trespassed onto the wrong jet and and Dr. Crane is a bit scared which is hard to believe.  We get a character that made a brief appearance earlier in the series pop up again at the end so I am hoping to see more of this particular a bit more next issue.  Gordon makes his decision about what to do about leaving Blackgate or not and I must say, it didn’t surprise me much.

Hands down, my favorite chapter thus far.  Again, not much action from Batman but there is plenty going on where it is OK to have other characters take the forefront.  From the amount of actions that took place in this single issue, I am intrigued to see how much more is planned through the rest of the series.  I can still picture that first panel in the first issue of Bruce and all the flames behind him.  Gotham is not going to end well from the look of things happening but it sure as hell won’t go down without a fight.
