BATMAN 66 #32 Review

Posted on the 16 April 2014 by Geekasms @geekasms

We arrive back at Arkham Institute in Batman 66 #32  and the inmates are running the asylum.  Joker and Catwoman are getting away.  This is not a laughing matter! To the Batmobile!

*1966 Batman Transition*

This mini arc has to be my favorite so far.  We get the 2 most infamous villains being Joker and Catwoman testing out the abilities of the Dynamic Duo alongside Batgirl. Jeff Parker is doing an excellent job in keeping the 60′s style while incorporating more modern characters like Dr. Quinn (Harley).  Sticking with that old school fashion, Batman was able to quickly figure out what was going on.  Robin is tripping over his own feet because Batgirl is around but she is all business.  Joker started by impairing individuals with non stop laughter and is now is trying to do it on a larger scale.  I can only imagine what will happen in the next chapter.

I have said it before but this particular chapter has stepped it up.  Reading this book digitally make the difference.  Moving from panel to panel with the color changes is so awesome.  There were even some excellent transitions that reminded me of the show.  All we need is the audio added to it and I will be floored.  The team of Jeff Parker along with Jonathan Case have been my favorite duo on this series so far…next to the Caped Crusaders of course.  The next chapter can’t come out quick enough.
