Bashir Bilour killed in suicide blast in Peshawar
Senior Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bashir Ahmed Bilour passed away in Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar after struggling for life for almost one hour.
He was critically injured in a suicide blast in Qissa Khawani Bazaar, Peshawar late on Saturday. The blast also claimed seven other lives, leaving 18 injured.
Bilour’s personal secretary Noor Mohammad and SHO Kabuli Police Station Sattar Khan were also among the dead.
The blast took place at the house of a local ANP leader where a party workers meeting, under the headship of Bashir Bilour, had taken place.
Bashir Bilour had received severe wounds on chest and stomach and was being operated in the Lady Reading Hospital where he breathed his last at 7:40 PM.
Banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the attack.
