Baking Tools Review

By Vsudarsan

I've never enjoyed baking cookies or bread because of the batter-trapping wire whisks. And, I don't own a fancy food processor. I was not aware of tools like Danish dough whisk and BakeitFun baking mats until I got these to review. It's no secret that I love kitchen gadgets and glad to add these two products to my collection! I put both these baking tools to test and here's my honest review followed by photographs.

Whisk quickly doughs and batters without over mixing. It's sturdy, and the dough moves through the loops in an interesting way. I believe the flow-through design of this whisk allows dough to pass through three loops in succession, quickly mixing the ingredients. I had to finally bring the dough together with my hands, maybe, because the quantity I used was too less for this large whisk. It is made of professional food grade stainless steel and the wooden handle ensures a firm grip. Clean-up is easy before the dough dries up on the whisk.

The silicone mat works really well too.The rules and measuring circles make it so easy to align the dough, something children would love when baking cookies. It comes with a non-stick surface, therefore there is no need to butter it up. All you have to do is lift off the mat, and cookies will automatically slide down. There is a mesh embedded into it to help distribute the heat. Mat measures 16 ½" x 11" and 0.75 mm and can be reused up to 2000 times. That's a huge saving on wax or parchment paper and cooking spray. BTW, these mats can be used in up to 450 degrees.

The whisk helped me make the dough and the mat perfectly baked my cookies! Well, I'm not a food blogger nor a baker!
