Remember Emily Maynard from season 8 of The Bachelorette? Boy did she tug on our heartstrings. She was the one whose husband died before her daughter was born. Her daughter and the story of her husband’s death became the storyline for season 8 of The Bachelorette. The show may not have worked out so well for her, but her new excursion into her own jewelry line may show promise.
Emily has moved on to produce her own line of jewelry; it’s a solid move, considering all the attention Emily’s on-air accessories got. Of course, she would have to have the help of her daughter Ricki, who became a bit of a focal point of the show. This is not high end stuff as it is created to be affordable. Most pieces will retail for less than $150. Maynard’s earrings are said to sell for 30 to 40 dollars. This is because Emily says that there is “a lack of good quality affordable jewelry.”
Apparently, Emily has always been interested in jewelry. She has chosen to teach jewelry making classes at the middle school in Charlotte, North Carolina which is where she and Ricki live. Apparently, Ricki is very evolved in the design process.
Even though things did not work out for her on The Bachelorette, it seems that she could be making a splash in the line of fashion jewelry. Then again she could be left out in the cold.
The line of jewelry from Emily Maynard is anticipated to debut in May.
