Awake for Big Brother and Real Housewives, but Fell Asleep for Newsroom.

Due to an underwhelming response, the WWTMMY's have been cancelled. I have a different idea though, which I will post  as we get closer to Emmy Night.  Hey they can't all be winners right?
Awake for Big Brother and Real Housewives, but Fell Asleep for Newsroom.

Just a comment...first time in a long time that the Trendrr numbers are completely different than the Nielsen numbers. Sharknado was HUGE on Thursday night socially but only did a .4/1.3, but I'm betting that the Live+7 numbers show tremendous consumption of Sharknado. My husband and I watched on Friday night and seriously...it's must see TV.  SO BAD it's SO GOOD! More on Sharknado below.

Newsroom
I was so excited that Newsroom was back last night, but I should have known better than to try to stay up for it after a long, busy, exhausting weekend. My brain and my body were tired at 10pm on Sunday night, and as you know you need to be 100% focused when you watch this one, so yes, I started watching and then...out cold. I promise...tonight, I'm on it.

Real Housewives of New Jersey Have you EVER met anyone like Joe Giudice? EVER? Every word that comes out of his mouth is vile. He's an animal, a dangerous, violent, stupid, ignorant animal.  I know that Teresa's not real bright, but when she watches these shows back (and you KNOW she does) how does she not see that Joe's such a tool?  He has no redeeming value whatsoever!  He makes me sick, but then again something is seriously wrong with Teresa. When she's watching, how in the world can she like what she sees in herself? How does she not see that she's hurting everyone around her especially the person she claims to love the most, her brother Joe. How does she not see it? This episode centered around everyone going on a team building retreat in Lake George.  No idea why they had to go all the way there for it unless they felt that up there in the middle of winter nobody would hear the screams and burying a dead body might be easier.  I had to laugh when the team building experts showed up. Steve, who looked like Ron Howard and his petite young wife, Stephanie. No way these two could manage the Gorga's, the Giudice and the Walkile's, no way. Things got out of control in less than a minute and the episode ended with Joe Gorga and Joe Giudice beating the crap out of each other.  Lovely. I'm sure Teresa will watch this episode right in front of her big bowed daughters. To their credit, Jaqueline and Caroline stayed home for this one. Caroline and Albert took a walk through the Paterson Falls, and Jaqueline made her husband a snack instead. Probably a VERY smart move.
Big Brother
Last night, Big Brother started out with a disclaimer from CBS regarding the racist comments we were about to witness inside the BB house. The disclaimer also included a "viewer discretion is advised" label prior to the start of the episode. I'm pretty sure that's NEVER happened before, but it was necessary after having viewed it.  Let's get down to it...here are my bullets:

  • Ginamarie's hysteria continued for way to long last night. If Nick was home watching no way he gets together with Ginamarie after the Summer...he needs to run as far in the other direction from her as possible.
  • All of you's are so stupid...you's? Nice Ginamarie...real nice.
  • What New Yorker says y'all? None that I know of.
  • When did Jeremy proclaim himself my "Cherokee Wonder"? According to him, he's America's main man.  Funny, America hasn't made him MVP yet.
  • Jeremy's praise of Helen and Elissa's game after Helen won HOH was actually a smart move, but I still despise him.
  • I gotta give Jessie and Judd credit for sticking up to Aaryn and Kaitlyn, but it just pissed Aaryn off SO much that she felt the need to flip Candice's mattress over.  Real mature.
  • Aaryn's and Ginamarie's nasty comments to Candice were so inappropriate...now we know why the disclaimer was needed.  Just made me cringe.
  • Howie's an interesting guy. I think he has no idea how to have a moral compass, but he's trying. He was amazing with Candice and yet didn't come clean with Helen when he should have, he only partially cleansed his conscience.
  • Amanda called Aaryn out to her face about her racist remarks and she seriously had no clue. She needs to move to Delusionville right next to Joe & Teresa Giudice.
  • I can't wait for Julie Chen to interview Aaryn on the live show. Can't wait. I hope she tells her that she's lost her job because of her racist remarks.
  • I was happy that McCrae came clean to Amanda about The Moving Company
  • Candice being nice to Ginamarie when she was crying was amazing to me.  Just showed human compassion at its finest even though Ginamarie was a lunatic.
  • Aaryn's apology to Candice was ridiculous, and proves that she has no clue what racism even is.
  • What, did CBS make a deal with a dairy to take their spoiled milk off their hands or something? That had to be the most foul smelling Have/Have Not Competition ever.
  • LOVED that Howie tried so hard to put the nasty girls on slop but McCrae sucked so bad that he couldn't lose the competition even though he was trying so hard.
  • Of course it made me SO happy when the Red Team won the competition.
  • Jeremy told Helen about The Moving Company, it was a was smart move, but...Helen's smarter.
  • What was on Andy's shirt at the nomination ceremony? Were those cats?  Odd...very odd, but at least it wasn't a tank top.
  • Okay, so while I still hate the casting overall...I now at least have people I like and people I want to root for.
  • Aaryn and Kaitlyn are both nominated for eviction. I'm fine with that.

Sharknado!  I have no idea how I didn't know about this one, but it just goes to show you the power of Social Media.  I never read about Sharknado, never heard about it or anything. This troubles me because as you know, I do my homework! Anything featuring an original BH 90210 castmember, I'm in! So I DVR'ed it and watched it Friday night and I would say that it was one of the worst/best B Movies ever. I mean cheeeeesy awesomeness. Nonsensical plot, bad acting, bad side effects, a ridiculous love story and Tara Reid at her worst/best. SO BAD it's GOOD! For those of you that have no idea what I'm talking about, Syfy aired a made for TV movie called Sharknado on Thursday night. It starred Ian Ziering and Tara Reid and takes place during a tornado that pulls sharks out of the ocean and drops them all over Los Angeles.  CLASSIC, must see horribleness!
Moone Boy
I did check out the first episode of Hulu's newest show, Moone Boy. I'm not positive on my accents and stuff, but I think it takes place in Ireland. It could be England but I'm really not sure.  Anyway, it's about this boy named Martin Moone who's sort of a misfit in his family and at school. He has an imaginary friend named Sean (I'm now officially choosing Ireland) that we all see, who's played by Chris O'Dowd. That's pretty much it. I didn't LOVE this one. It's fine, but I wouldn't urge you to watch it. Nothing special.  The kids not that cute, neither is O'Dowd. It's not super funny or anything. Not even sure why I'm telling you about it other than to make sure that if you're picking something to watch and this is in the running, I'd say don't bother.  Go watch Orphan Black or Orange is the New Black. Those are both MUST SEE at this point.
NEWS & INFORMATION

-Cory Monteith, aka Finn Hudson from Glee, passed away on Saturday from what I'm guessing will turn out to be a drug overdose.  Another Hollywood tragedy. Cory had struggled for a while, went to rehab and I guess it wasn't all good for him. Nothings confirmed yet, so I'm sure more to come on this one, but either way, it's sad and he will be missed. RIP Cory.

-For those of us who have invested many hours of time with our favorite Little People, The Roloffs, there are 2 more specials coming up on 7/23.  When we last left Amy & Matt, they were in the beginning stages of the "empty nest" period of their life and I thought they were headed for divorce. Another check in to see how they're doing is in order. I'm hoping they've figured things out and are happier with each other, but I'm betting against it.  Anyway, I'll let you know (if you even care at this point) on 7/24 if the bickering has ended and the cleaning has begun. I'd really like these two to break up, stay on the farm and start dating. Then...we'd have a special all right, Little People in a Big World...Dating Again. It would be awesome.

-What's with Hulu? Can't make up their minds...sell, don't sell, sell, don't sell.  At this point, Hulu's off the market. NBC, FOX and Disney have decided to invest rather than sell.  Okay guys hope you got it right this time.  Makes you all look sorta kookoo for cocoa puffs to me, but okay start investing!

-I read an interesting article over the weekend about people that stream their weddings.  Over 20,000 wedding in the United States were streamed online this past year for friends and relatives who can't make it to the event. Suprisingly it wasn't THAT expensive to do. $800-$3000 bucks.  Interesting right?
Monday's Trivia Question: Name any of the 4 Roloff children...1 point for each correct answer.
