 Hi Everyone,

I used to apply eye shadow with the sponge tip applicators provided in the pallets when first time I had purchased an eye shadow pallets. I used to think buying brushes is a waste of money. But when I came across the smokey eyes look I really liked and and learned that to achieve that look you should have a few eye shadow brushes. Audrey’s Eye shadow Brush was my one of the first purchase when I was trying to learn the smokey look.

Product Claim:-

The eye shadow brush is soft yet firm enough to apply the eye shadow in a neat fashion.  It can be used in both powder and cream based eye shadow application.

My opinion on the product:-

I used to apply eye shadows with the sponge tip applicator. I was  loving the smokey look that time and wanted to learn. One day while doing online shopping I saw this brush which was cheapest than the other eye shadow brushes available that time. I ordered it started experimenting with the brush. I have loose pigments, powder eye shadow and cream eye shadow and have tried applying eye shadow with this brush.

The brush hairs are soft to skin and tightly packed. The brush is made of taklon which has microscopic pock which resembles with natural hair. It is not very dense and fluffy brush. The hairs are little stiff but doesn’t scratches my skin while application. It also fails to pickup much product when applied on eyelid and the results were not satisfactory. I thought that it is a total waste of money and wasn’t happy with the purchase. It stayed for sometime on my table with other brushes.

One day I had applied an eye shadow and was searching for something to  smudge kajal and create a Smokey look I though to give this a try. It smudges the kajal so perfectly that since then I have been using this brush to create Smokey look.

What I Liked:-

  • Synthetic hair
  • Durable
  • Cheap
  • Soft and gentle on eyelids
  • Can pack eye shadow on eyelids

What I didn’t Liked:-

  • Doesn’t picks up much product
  • Not effective in blending eye shadows

Will I repurchase and recommend:-

If you want a cheap smudger made of hair and not sponge you can purchase this one.

Rating:-

3/5
