Au Bon Accueil in the 7th is a place we frequented a lot after buying a flat here in 1989 but after Jacques Lacipiere moved to take over Chez Les Anges we came less frequently and it was only this week that dear friends who used to go here with us said they go back all the time, did we reserve.

Colette started out with a veal bouillon, with minced smoked veal and vegetables; our friend had previously cooked encornets with cream of lettuce with garlic and vegetables; and I had warm porcelet poitrines with vegetables; all were nicely sourced and prepared but needed something that salt & pepper did not provide.

Our mains were chicken with vegetables, rumsteak with mushrooms and a paleron of beef with a braised endive - plus we all had a potato puree - again all were correct but not exciting.

For dessert our friend had a tiramisu, Colette had a brioche perdu and I shared both as well as the mignardises.

The bill with two bottles of wine, no bottled water and two coffees, was 150 E, thus 100 E a couple.
