My pick: Andy ‘White Fang’ Murray – His best results this year have been on home turf and he’s the best player in the world right now.

The 30-year-old Swiss won his 70th tour-level trophy in his 100th final after he defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-3, 6-7(6), 6-3 to become the oldest titlist at the year-end championship.
