ATP Challenger Tour Week In Review

Kuznetsov Wins 4th Challenger Title

American Alex Kuznetsov, won his fourth ATP Challenger Tour title in a loaded Sarasota Open field, beating eighth seed Wayne ‘HGH’ Odesnik 6-0, 6-2 in the final. Kuznetsov, came in as a qualifier and World No. 271 and now has a  5-5 record in Challenger finals. His good week has lifted him 90 places to No. 181 in the ATP Rankings.

Other winners last week included: Andrej Martin, Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo, Julian Reister and Gastao Elias.

A Fish Out of Water

Former top 10 player Mardy Fish plays the Savannah Challenger this week and has not competed at an ATP Challenger Tour for nearly seven years. His finals record is 4-4 record in finals and joins fellow Americans ‘Iron’ Michael Russell and Ryan Harrison.
