By A Beauty Feature @abeautyfeature

Athletic Propulsion Labs (APL), the performance athletic brand best known for having basketball shoes containing their patented Load ‘N Launch® Technology banned by the NBA for “providing an undue competitive advantage,” launches their revolutionary running footwear collection for both men and women. The new Athletic Propulsion Labs running collection features three unique men’s and women’s styles designed for maximum performance, comfort and durability. The APL running shoe line that is launching consists of three collections: The Joyride ($120), The TechLoom™ Pro ($140) and The Windchill ($150).

The Joyride is engineered for superior comfort and features APL’s proprietary new Propelium midsole technology designed to maximize energy generation. The Propelium technology can come in direct contact with the ground, which allows for minimal rubber on the outsole and significantly reduces the weight of the shoe.

The TechLoom Pro shares the same innovative new APL Propelium midsole technology as the Joyride, but has been created with a revolutionary upper construction that is seamlessly woven from performance textiles. This engineered single-layer upper construction has strategically designed areas of support, breathability, flex and strength providing exceptional fit and maximum comfort.

The Windchill incorporates the multi-patented APL Load ‘N Launch Technology specifically modified for the running category utilizing 6 compression springs within the device and designed to instantly provide a heightened level of running performance with less effort. Providing an unrestricted airflow throughout the entire shoe, the FloZone upper construction offers extreme breathability while the internal fit system keeps all foot shapes comfortable and locked in.

The collection will be available on the brand’s website (http://www.athleticpropulsionlabs.com) and through exclusive retail partner Saks Fifth Avenue as the only stocked performance athletic footwear brand. Run. Everything™.

About APL – Athletic Propulsion Labs
The Athletic Propulsion Labs™ Load ‘N Launch™ technology has been tested by some of the most respected experts in the field. A world-renowned spring testing institute in Taiwan conducted independent tests on the Load ‘N Launch™ device in January 2010. The institute is charged with testing suspension bridge mechanisms for roadways, tension levels as well as response rates for springs in sophisticated watches and other mechanisms. In testing conditions using a level of force exerted by an individual weighing 175 pounds, the institute reported a “measurable increase in rebound effect” provided by the Load ‘N Launch™ device. This is the added boost that basketball players all around the world have been dreaming about for years.

In late January 2010 at a major California university biomechanical testing facility under the supervision and administration of two independent, world-class PhD experts in the field of biomechanics, energy return and vertical leap, the Athletic Propulsion Labs™ basketball shoes, once again, produced amazing results. The Load ‘N Launch™ system enabled the test participants to register a meaningful increase in their vertical leap and vertical velocity of takeoff, both in the absolute and when compared to high-priced basketball shoes from a major athletic footwear company known for its quality and performance.

These tests were conducted using Kistler Force Plates to measure maximal effort standing vertical jumps. The testing also included the use of the VERTEC vertical leap measurement device used in the NBA and NFL draft combines. Athletic Propulsion Labs™ measured the vertical velocity of takeoff “VTO” and jump height (Sto-pk) determined by the vertical displacement from takeoff to the peak of the jump.
