Former Pakistan Peoples Party MPA Aslam Madhyana, who was found guilty in teacher torture case last year, has been allowed to contest elections from provincial seat PP-31 Sargodha by Lahore High Court.
Madhyana’s candidacy had been rejected by the returning officer and subsequently the Election Tribunal, after which the former MPA filed appeal against his disqualification in the full bench LHC citing the cases against him are politically motivated and he is not convicted.
The full bench PPP candidate from NA-79 and PP-59 Rana Farooq Saeed, who was accused to be a defaulter, to contest election.
