Chelsea star left-back Ashley Cole picked up hamstring injury in game against Manchester United on Monday. He will miss the action for at least a fortnight. Chelsea won the game against Manchester United in FA Cup at Stamford Bridge. Coach Rafael Benitez has confirmed this tragic news.
Ashley Cole who plays for England international left the arena only 20 minutes into the contest and will miss First Quarterfinal in Europa League on Thursday and match against Sunderland in Barclays Premier League on Sunday.
Keeping in mind the severity of the injury Cole has picked up he is also a doubtful participant in FA Cup semi-final with Manchester City at Wembley.
Chelsea boss Rafael Benitez visibly appeared disturbed over the latest injury. Talking to the newsmen he said.
“This kind of injury at least two weeks. That means for us maybe 20 games or something. Cole’s injury is the latest defensive blow, with England defender Gary Cahill out for “another 15 days at least”. Benitez said.
