Artist On the Rise: Ella Henderson

download (1)This week’s Artist on the Rise is Gabrielle Michelle “Ella” Henderson, better known by her stage name Ella Henderson, is a British singer-songwriter born on January 26th 1996. She was born in Tetney, Lincolnshire, England, and this 19 year-old singer first made her appearance on the X Factor in 2012 finishing in sixth place.  Once she left the show she was signed by Syco Music records. In March 2014, Henderson announced her debut album name as “Chapter One”. This album was written by Henderson, working in collaboration with a number of writers and producers, including Claude Kelley, who is best known for collaborating with some of the greatest artists of all times; such as Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston among others.

The popsoul and R&B singer-songwriter released her first single “Ghost” the summer of 2014 which she’d co-written with Ryan Tedder from the band One Republic.Ghost” hit the no. 1 on the UK singles chart and remained on the top 5 hit singles for eight consecutive weeks. Henderson has released three subsequent singles, “Glow” “Yours” and “Mirror Man”. Her first debut album “Chapter One” was released October of 2015 and peaked at number 1 on the UK albums Chart, achieving UK platinum certification around January 16th 2015.  Yet she released her single “Mirror Man” In the early months of 2015, which was part of her “Chapter One” album.

Although this British artist may not have had much time in the lime lights, she has hit the charts and well recognized around the world. Her music has been noticed throughout the UK, Europe, Australia, United States, and Canada. Her fans can expect great things from her, accepting the fact that she’ll wow her audience as she’s done so in the past few years. Even with the short years in the world of music, this incredible artist has won the hearts of many.  And we can only expect great things from her .
