Artist on the Rise: Echosmith

This week’s artist on the rise is the band Echosmith. Echosmith is an American Indie Pop, Alternative Rock band from Toluca Lake, Los Angeles. The band is composed of four siblings: Graham Sierota, Sydney Sierota, Noah Sierota, and Jamie Sierota. Echosmith signed to Warner Bros. Records in May 2012. They are best known for their hit song “Cool Kids“, which reached number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Echosmith has also released an array of cover songs such as: “I Will Wait” by Mumford and Sons, “Lights” by Ellie Goulding,  “Set Fire To The Rain” by Adele, and “Princess Of China” by Coldplay Feat. Rihanna etc. Their first single “Tonight We’re Making History” was released June 5, 2012. Echosmith unveiled their new single and official music video “Come Together” in early June 2013. The band’s debut album, “Talking Dreams“, was released on October 8, 2013. “Cool Kids” was released on May 31, 2013. The song debuted within the Billboard Hot 100 at number 87,  it also charted in the US Airplay Top 100 at number 94 before rising to its peak position at number 50, lasting four weeks on the chart.

These siblings have a unique way of reaching their audience and I truly look forward to their next creation. “Cool Kids ” caught my attention the first time I heard it and the tone, musicality and rhythm is the reason why they deserve a praise. Although the band formed around 2009 they took a few stumbles and Falls before making it to stardom, it’s their persistence and perseverance that make these artists great.
