This week’s artist on the rise is singer/song-writer Banks. Jillian Rose Banks, born on June 15th 1988, is an American singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California also know by her stage name Banks. Her music is released under Harvest Records, Good Years Recordings and IAMSOUND Records imprints of the major label Universal Music Group. Banks made this career official since 2013-present. This singer/song-writer focuses on genres such as R&B, Electronic Hip hop, and Alternative Pop.
She has toured internationally with The Weeknd, who was previously mentioned as our Artist on the Rise, and was also nominated for the Sound of 2014 award by the BBC. Along with the BBC award she has an MTV Brand New Nominee in 2014. On May 3, 2014, Banks was dubbed as an “Artist to Watch” by Fox Weekly. She’s had a short amount of time towards stardom, but with the pace she’s taking it won’t be long until she stands next to the worlds biggest starts.
In September 5, 2014 she released “Goddess” under the Label HarvestFormats, also in March 1, 2013 she released her hit single “Fall Over” and prior to that she released her debut single called “London“. This 26-year-old artist has had a great year Thus far, her journey has just begun and we expect nothing but great things from her.
