They say a dog looks up to you – a cat looks down on you – however a pet pig – well a pig considers you an equal!
Do you consider everyone your equal? Or do you look down on some, up to others and feel less than or more than, around your family or friends?
Interesting question to begin our week – I’ve just spent several days with girlfriends – one who has lost some weight, a few of us that have gained some – no one perfect – lots of love and laugher and yet… do we consider ourselves equal or do we compare?
What about you? Is someone with a better car, job, and body or partner someone to feel happy for or envious of?
I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way) that it feels great to feel happy for others blessings and gifts.
I’ve also learned (the long way) that if someone else can do something wonderful – or be someone fabulous – so can I.
What I’ve also discovered is that the greatest work I can do is on me – which is why I can be so happy for others good fortunes and blessings – which I am.
Today, each time you encounter someone, anyone, doing something great – even if it’s smiling – be happy for them – and know in your heart (because it’s true) that if they can do that, have that or be that – then you can too – if you truly want to.
