On 3rd October , the Windows Store is reported to have had as many as 3610 apps and counting. This increase is very fast, which is about 118 applications per day (calculated from September 9 last month).
With this growth the target that Windows Store will have about 5000 applications when Windows 8 launch day arrives. A figure that is much smaller than the number of apps in the App Store for the iPad at this time (250,000 applications).
