All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), the party of former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf will unconditionally support Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf-led coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Ghulam Mohammad, the only MPA of APML, on Monday told media that the former president Musharraf had directed him to favour Imran Khan’s party in the KPK Assembly.

Ghulam Mohammad had won election from PK-90 (Chitral-II) constituency by securing 10,691 votes.

Meanwhile, Shahzda Iftikharuddin, the only APML MNA, is also likely to join PTI following a meeting with Pervez Musharraf.  Iftikharuddin had clinched NA-32 seat from Chitral by securing 19,938 votes against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Abdul Latif, who obtained 16636 votes.

Ghulam Mohammad and Iftikharuddin and another candidate from Chitral Shahzada Pervez, who narrowly lost to PPP candidate in PK-89 constituency, had contested May 11 elections despite of party’s boycott.

APML had boycotted the elections as a sign of protest against the rejection of nomination papers of former military ruler.
