Hour 12 already!
Cass of Bonjour, Cass is running the Dewey’s Read-a-Thon site for this hour and she has a list of mid-event of questions to answer. Here goes:
1. What are you reading right now?
2. How many books have you read so far?
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
All three questions have essentially the same answer — Quicksilver by Neal Stephenson. There are still over 100 pages left and I’m not at all confident that I’m going to get this done today!
4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day?
Oh. There’s an idea.
5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?

Cheering
A bit of grocery shopping plus I picked up lunch
Planting the plants from the plant sale
Some preparing for supper, but Rick is taking over from here
A bit of dancing and stretching for exercise
6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
I’m always surprised by how little time I spend reading but since I don’t clear my day very well, it’s easy to see why.
7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
I’m loving the spreadsheet that the cheerleaders are using. So motivating to get through the list and add my initials to every line.
8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year?
See if I can really, truly, clear the day!
9. Are you getting tired yet?
I still seem to be moving on adrenaline even after a short night. The variety of activities probably helped me here.
10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered?
Cheering is fun!
