Anniversary Weekend in the Sun

By Behindtheseclosedeyes @theseclosedeyes
I'd really gotten into the habit of posting at least every other day but I think you sometimes just need a little time away to clear your head and enjoy yourself without being glued to the laptop or iPhone, so that is exactly what I did! Thursday saw David and I celebrating our 4 year anniversary which was lovely and the perfect excuse to escape everything and truly make the most of what was happening in the moment. Plenty of relaxing and quality time together was had, and it's times like this when you really have to stand back and wonder how 4 years have passed by so quickly. 4 years ago we were celebrating our high school prom and the end of exams, and now here we are, nearing the end of university and happier than we've ever been. I'll try not to be too soppy while I write this post because I wouldn't want to bore you all, but I really do feel so lucky to have spent these last 4 years with my best friend. No matter how quickly time seems to pass by, I try my best to enjoy each moment as it comes, and I really can't wait for many more years to come.
Anniversary weekend in the sun
As you can see, I was very spoiled when it came to presents as I now have the Enrapture Totem Styler in my life (post to come soon) and can finally watch Les Mis! After a few days of taking it easy and eating plenty of naughty food (whoops), we decided to make the most of the glorious weather and jump on the train to Ayr yesterday. As much as I love Glasgow, it's always great to see more of Scotland so Ayr beach sounded like the perfect place to be on a sunny day. Our day was spent lying in the sun, listening to live music and just enjoying a little break away from everything, and before you know it we were on the train back home. What better way to end our lovely little break than with a Domino's and I can assure you that we were both in food comas afterwards. I hope you've all had a lovely weekend
