Anne Hathaway Walks Down the Aisle

Anne Hathaway Walks down the AisleIt’s official: Anne Hathaway is married to Adam Shulman!

The ‘Love and Other Drugs’ actress, 29, tied the knot with longtime love Adam Shulman, 31, on Saturday (Sep. 29) night in Big Sur, California.

The couple celebrated their wedding with around 100 guests attending the nuptials, which began on Friday night with a rehearsal dinner at the Ventana Inn and Spa ahead of the wedding at a nearby private estate.

The ‘Devil Wears Prada’ actress exchanged wedding bands wearing a custom made off-shoulder wedding gown by world-famous designer Valentino. The wedding reportedly had an eco-green theme, with branches and wild flowers used to decorate the ceremony and reception, creating a nature’s vibe.

The location of the ceremony was kept hush-hush from the guests, adding that they had to wear bracelets to gain entry to the buses that would take them to the venue.

Earlier this year Anne said she wanted to hold off having her wedding until 2013 as she had too much work to do. She said, “We’re getting married, probably sometime next year-ish. Not this year, it’s too big with two films coming out.”

Hathaway supposedly recruited Yifat Oren to plan the wedding ceremony – the same person who helped Natalie Portman plan her wedding to Benjamin Millipied earlier this year.

“I haven’t started planning yet. I was filming Les Misérables when we decided to do it, and there was no way I could think about anything wedding-related with my head in the space it was in then. I’ve been so busy since then; I’ve not even decided what sort of ceremony I want.”

Speaking previously, Anne said she was looking forward to being single until she met Adam and “fell in love like a fool”.

She said, “I am very much in love with him, only Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!”

The ‘Dark Knight Rises’ actress started dating actor and jewelry designer Adam Shulman in late 2008 after meeting through mutual friends. In November 2011 Shulman went down on his knee proposing Hathaway, apparently offering a six-carat diamond engagement ring he co-designed with Kwiat Heritage Jewelers. The couple held an engagement party February this year at a New York bookstore with 125 family members and friends.

Congratulations to the newlyweds! Enjoy your honeymoon!
