Amour à Paris…….She Said Yes!

By Botanicart @botanicarthb

Bettina from Beautiful Occasions called me and asked if I would be interested in a project in Paris. The answer was YES! I love destination occasions! Her client wanted to propose to his girlfriend and needed to make it really special. Bettina thought of a surprise picnic and began the preparations. The couple was going to be on a business trip in Paris anyway, so this was really going to be a big surprise.
Our first day was about location scouting. We chose ‘Parc Monceau’. Such a beautiful park.
Then we needed to look for the perfect spot where the set-up was going to be. After we found it, we did a walk-through, how this romantic gentleman was going to lure her over there. This park has several entrances, so we really needed to choose the right one where we couldn’t be seen as they walked toward the set-up.
Once the place & timing were set, Bettina and I roamed through the streets of Paris to get all the goodies. There was so much to choose from, so many beautiful shops….we needed baguettes, cheese, pastries, flowers, we couldn’t forget the champagne and all the little things that were added the last-minute. Such a productive first day!
Saturday May 11th was the ‘DAY’.
On a (thankfully) sunny day, we packed everything, got in a cab and walked into the park with a suitcase, shopping bags, flower packages and of course a bag of ice for the champagne. Once we were finished, we all took our planned spots to wait for them where they couldn’t see us.

And here is the lovely picnic that was prepared for this wonderful & exciting occasion. It was really a big big surprise for her. We were so happy that everything worked out perfectly.
