I tend to get a little nervous watching a music industry awards show as the tight outfits, excessive sequins, and daring makeup do not generally scream Ladylike Chic. But this year's American Music Awards gave me quite the shock as a few ladies turned up looking just lovely. Even songstress Christina Aguilera blew me away with her gorgeous purple ombre Pamella Roland gown. The color of the dress was divine, as it looked beautiful against her skin tone and hit her frame at all the right places. She pulled the look together with clean, perfectly matched purple makeup and Michelle Pfeiffer Scarface-era blonde locks. It's good to know even I can be surprised now and then...
