Outfit: Dress- Old Navy, Necklace- The Farm Basket, Sandals- Cato Fashions, Tote- Joules...As simple as can be. Elegant and free. American Honey...Growing up in a small town; I've witnessed the hunting camo, the denim, and other trends that should forever be kept under raps and out of the lime light. This look provides the perfect way to wear the chambray without looking too small town. Going back to my roots, the chambray helps to stay cool on a warmer day and doesn't cling to the body in the humidity. In the Virginia summers, the humidity kills and it's necessary to find styles and materials that won't overwhelm you during the season. I love the simple shape of this chambray dress from Old Navy. The dress is comfortable and light, making it wearable in this 90 degree weather. Paired with the right shoes, it gives off less of a mom vibe, and more of a 20 something year old one. The ankle strap sandals have a slight wedge which give a little extra lift to the calf, making the look more desirable. Y'all of course know how obsessed I am with the chunky necklaces, so given the fact that this was also a gorgeous oversized tortoise shell chain one, I was one happy camper! Paired with red gloss and the Joules tote, THIS is my "hey there summer" ensemble! (Let's be honest, we are all a little taken aback that summer is already here!)xoBCC
