What it does is it keeps your color from fading for longer than if you didn't use it, and it doesn't contain any dyes, and doesn't stain your skin or clothes, which is why I got it. I know that some of my friends used other color enhancing shampoos, and I remember seeing those icky stains on their white shirts. So I'm glad Alto Bella doesn't have that. They also have it for blonde and red hair.
The other Hair Product that I like from Alto Bella is their Body and Control Gel.
I personally don't really like to use any kind of gels, because I feel like they put some weight on my hair and therefore it feels heavier. But this gel is so light, I don't even feel it, which is why I use it every time I style my hair. I literally can "control" my hair and style it any way I want. (Note: my hair is very unruly when I don't use anything) If I want to make my hair curly - I use this gel. My hair is naturally wavy though, but the gel definitely helps. It works really good when I straighten my hair as well - it just stays straight for longer.
