Alter Bridge and their "The Last Hero" Tour came through Toronto, ON on Wednesday February 1st and it was long overdue. The fans have been waiting to see Alter Bridge return to "The Six" for quite some time now, but it was definitely worth the wait. The Toronto show that was held at REBEL featured both Non Point and Weapons of Anew who collectively made it a killer triple bill.
Weapons of Anew brought their high octane energy to a packed house at the now dubbed REBEL Nightclub (formerly, The Sound Academy). Their bold, brash and colorful sound truly came alive with their on stage performance at last nights show.
Weapons of Anew raised the bar pretty high early on for both Non Point and Alter Bridge to come out too. Their presence and performance stood on its own as they commanded and electrified the crowd through song after song. Great band and great way to kick off the night!

Weapons of Anew Official WebsiteThe second band, Non Point, have been around since the late 90's. The band has toured with countless heavy metal acts and has been apart of Ozzfest and other amazing festivals. They've had mainstream success on the Billboard and Mainstream Rock charts since the early 2000's and have released nine studio albums!
Their latest release, The Poison Red, came out in July 2016 and the Toronto crowd at REBEL had the opportunity to hear some of these new tracks first hand. From the get go, you could tell the band had been salivating backstage to get out on the stage and get the crowd pumped for Alter Bridge. Introducing themselves as Korn and getting the crowd off their feet were just some of the crowd interactions that went on through the night. Playing hits like "Bullet with a Name" and Phil Collin's "In the Air Tonight" brought the crowd to a frenzy and left the crowd eagerly waiting the arrival of Alter Bridge.

Non Point Official WebsiteAlter Bridge came out full force and was ready to rock the packed crowd at REBEL! The crowd ate it up as Kennedy, Tremonti, Phillips and Marshall hit the stage around 9:30pm. The crowd had already gone through three hours of intense heavy hitting music and they were ready more! The respect and love shared by the band was felt with the many thanks giving to the crowd throughout the night. Kennedy shared with the crowd how Tremonti felt the need to come back to Toronto after the last time he was in the GTA due to the positive response. If they were allowed they would of stayed with Toronto all night and kept the party going.
Playing a packed and heavy set list, the band played all of their hits including some new ones of The Last Hero album. Fan favorites like Open Your Eyes, Isolation, Metalingus, Ties that Bind and Blackbird were just of the few that had the entire crowd singing along. One of the many highlights of the night had to be Myles Kennedy's acoustic performance of "Watch Over You". Cellphones lit up the venue and the acoustic performance captured Kennedy's amazing vocal range and talent.
From the very beginning of their opening song to the last captivating moment of their last, Alter Bridge came back to do one thing, give Toronto, ON a night they wouldn't forget. We just hope that they come back again and a lot sooner this time, because bands like them are far a few between.
