I chose today’s song because I’ve been thinking a lot about “change” lately. Even though I should be used to it, I’m still surprised in how much people and things have changed over the years. I think back on college and the ones I’ve lost touch with, the people I see getting married or having children, the friendships that didn’t last forever, and the couples who didn’t make it or never made amends. Change is never ending, possibly the only constant in life.
All Things Change was released in June of 2005 from Billy’s debut solo album, The Future Embrace. It is the first track on the album but never became a single.
The song creates a positive outlook on change expressing that change is never forever, it can be changed again. It may leave you confused but there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.
All things change, never rest, never sure what is worth fighting on for. We can change the world.
