The song is about two strangers who make love one night and then run into each other in the future. The girl then tells him that she’s in love with another man and the guy is hurt because he actually cares for her. Ironically, this reminds me of a guy I knew who got involved with a girl who did the same thing to him. To this day, I still don’t know if he’s completely over it.
All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You was released as a single in March of 1990 from the band’s tenth studio album, Brigade. It placed at #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and at #3 on Billboard 200. It also went to #3 in Canada and the UK. The lyrics were written by Robert Lange.
