All American Father’s Day

By Kathybarbro @KathyBarbro
All American Father’s DayI traced a template from at Keep Designing to make this art, but a hand drawn image would look nice too, if you have a baseball-loving dad.1. Using a sharp adult scissors, I cut the tops of 11 popsicle sticks into points and straightened the bottoms to make them look like a picket fence. 2. I glued two horizontal sticks to the back of the 11 with white glue.3. Dry wax paper is taped over the template you can download HERE. Using a very fine permanent marker and soft (higher quality, Prismancolor®) pencil crayons, I colored in my design. You can buy dry wax paper at food supply stores. I was able to take a couple of extra sheets from my local bakery, as they kept a box next to the baked goods.4. With a 50/50 mix of water and white glue, I spread the mixture on the board, then on the back of the drawing. I placed the art on the board, and spread more on top. A magnet could be glued on the back to make this cute refrigerator art. Happy Father’s Day!
