Prostate surgery usually requires lesser amount of recovery time compared to any other cancer related surgeries. However it is vital and important that a person continues to exercise in some way or the other even after a prostate surgery. We do not recommend starting immediately after the surgery. However a fit person should be able to indulge in mild exercises 2 weeks after the prostate removal. Typically it takes 6 to 8 weeks of time for a man to return to his pre-surgery health after prostate removal.  Mild sport activities can be a great way of exercising in the initial days of recovery. Also sports take away the boring routine of exercise and make it an interesting option of exercise.

Here are some top exercises that will keep you healthy through the recovery period

Swimming

Swimming is a very good activity as it improves appetite, exercises the entire body and also replenishes your energy levels. 30 to 45 minutes of swimming for 3 days in a week offers several benefits for recovering patients. However ensure that the wounds of surgery have completely healed before you start. Also talk to your doctor before you start a swimming regime.

Golf

Playing golf is not only a classic and interesting game but is also a classic form of exercise. People who play golf need to walk quite some distances.
