Adventure Aberdeen: Duthie Park

Duthie Park is a park close to the city. The park was originally donated to the city by Miss Duthie in 1880 and opened to the public in 1883.The park has so many fantastic features and artefacts. It has an enormous bandstand, a few fountains, a pond and statues. All of which we took numerous photos of to share with you all! Our favorite part of the park was the winter gardens, which were rebuilt in 1970! There are an incredible amount of exotic plants, unfortunately the tropical house was not open when we were there! There is in fact the largest collection of cacti in Britain! We loved the day out in Duthie Park, it's definitely perfect for the family, we would have taken photos of all the areas suitable for children but we didn't think that was a good idea! There are two children's play areas and a cafe with toilets (and lots of ice cream!).There are so many things to do at the park, you can chill with the family or your friends and have fun with a picnic or a game of football! Aberdeen city council had been successful in it's big to the Heritage Lottery Fund for the restoration and improvement of Duthie Park - a brilliant opportunity for them! So as always, Steve took about 200 photos but here are our favorite 50 or so!Enjoy guysxxxxxxxxxxxx
