Day Twenty One and I think this might be one of my personal favourites among all the dresses I have had scheduled for this advent calendar. I mean, what sort of heartless person could fail to be wowed by the lush colours and that wonderful peacock feather detailing? Okay, it’s probably not to the taste of a lot of people but I just can’t resist a bit of peacock feather glamour.
This gown was originally worn by a wealthy American heiress, who most probably bought it during a trip to Europe and I can certainly imagine the fabulous Undine Spragg of Edith Wharton’s The Custom of the Country cutting quite a DASH in something like this.
Anyway, by the time you read this I’ll probably be on my way to Hampshire for a day of Christmassy family stuff with the in laws and my own lot. Hope you all have a great weekend!
