How this month is flying by! I still have loads to do and diminishing time in which to accomplish it! Oops. Anyway, I’m sure that plenty of you who aren’t ill like me (I just can’t shake this cold!) are planning to have some fun this weekend so it seemed like a good day to unveil the first little black dress of the advent calendar as although Christmas is traditionally a sparkly, colourful time of year, it’s also Little Black Dress Season isn’t it.

This particular LBD comes from the patron saint of all things black and slinky: Chanel and dates from around 1957, a time when women, in my opinion, REALLY knew how to dress. It would have caused quite a stir back then, I am sure, and would almost certainly do so today as well. I can totally imagine rolling up to a VERY special party in something like this, can’t you?

Thanks for all the feedback about yesterday’s dress – I think it must be the most popular so far, which is quite amusing as I almost didn’t feature it as I didn’t think it was ‘spectacular’ enough! I’ll know better in future!
