Introduction
Adrenoleukodystrophy is a genetic condition that damages the myelin sheath (membrane around the brain and the spinal cord). It is an X-linked disorder that reduces the ability of the nerves to transmit information to the brain. The electric impulses go slow when the myelin sheath is damaged. Adrenoleukodystrophy is characterized into flowing four types-
- Childhood Cerebral ALD
- Adrenomyeloneuropathy
- Addison's Disease
- Asymptomatic
