It is not as difficult to achieve your dreams as you may think it is. We all have dreams, aspirations and things we would love to do with our life, yet not many of us ever reach their full potential because we hold ourselves back.
By setting goals for ourselves we are taking some control of our future, while some dream of having a certain career, others dream of having the warm and friendly home. If you can visualise your dream and you are prepared to work hard for it then you can make that dream reality.
How Do You Achieve Your dreams?
Passion:
Is your dream something you are passionate about? You have to really want to reach this goal for it to be within your reach. Giving only fifty per cent of your dedication is not good enough. To achieve your dreams you really have to be ready to go out there and fight for them.
“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” Harriet Tubman
Envisage The Dream:
Write down how achieving your dreams will change your life, what positives will it bring to you? See yourself living your dream and attach this memory or picture somewhere you will see it daily, to remind you that positive thinking is needed in order to keep your goal in your sights.
“If you can dream it, you can do it.” Walt Disney
Write A Detailed Plan:
Knowing how to achieve your dreams is the first step to fulfilling them, what changes or steps do you have to take to get closer to your goal? What is preventing you? What steps can you make to getting closer to living the dream? You need to know what you have to do in order for you to do it.
“Plans are nothing; planning is everything. “ Dwight D. Eisenhower
Evaluate Your Dream:
Sometimes the dreams we have are just not meant to be, or thinking errors get in the way. We have to evaluate our dreams at certain times and reassess if what we are doing is a positive step towards receiving our goal. If the plan is not working and we are still stuck on the wheel, it is time to evaluate our original plan and make further changes.
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Eleanor Roosevelt
The only person holding you back from achieving your dreams is you.
