Accessories Are Key

By Jollygoodstudio @JollyGoodStudio
As I mentioned in my previous post, I was at my lovely friend Chloe's wedding at the weekend. Everyone knows a wedding is one of the best excuses to buy a new outfit. I had a bit of a struggle trying to find something weddingy since I haven't been to that many before, and at one of those I was in a peachy flower girl dress. But after days of dragging Ross round the shops I finally decided on an ivory dress (controversial, I know) with an embossed floral pattern from Dorothy Perkins.
This then presented me with another problem, what to accessories it with. The dress provided a neutral base meaning the choices were endless. I dragged Ross round many more shops until I finally decided to go with romantic pinks and lilacs, it was a wedding after all. Here's what I picked.Accessories Are KeyOf course it couldn't be all romance and flowers so I decided to balance it with some nudity in the form of this Red Brick necklace and some spikes with the Topshop headband. I also picked some simple but classic Clarks shoes for comfort and a large envelope clutch from Accessorize to store all my junk for the day.
But I wasn't the only one focused on accessories. The bride to be, along with her nearest and dearest, had been working hard to add some amazing details of their own. At our table we were greeted with bags of sweeties and glass bottles of lemonade. We also had a lot of fun building little planes that fitted perfectly with their 'in the air' theme.
Accessories Are KeyEveryone had a great day and I'm now going to be match making all of my friends so I can go to a lot more weddings and buy many more accessories. I do love a good shopping excuse.
