Abstract Art Painting | The Muses Are Still Generous with Me

Abstract art painting | The muses are still generous with me

New abstract painting collection. Should I thank the muses? Yes.

After quite some time around my already finished Space Occupancies abstract art series, I´ve just started a new collection of abstract paintings that promises to be hyper challenging. I hope the muses will still be around to keep offering me their creative generosity! By the way, I recommend you to watch this TED talk where writer Elisabeth Gilbert talks about creativity pressure and the muses. A real great talk!

So, how did these new abstract series started? Let me remark what I consider to be the main points:

  • But things move on and change: first towards what may initially look like kaos, but then rebirth shows up;
  • Society as we´ve known it, at least in Spain, is changing and moving towards somewhere we do not still know what it will be, nor how will it look like. Things are moving, that´s for sure! Is it the end of the world as we know it?

  • Is society moving or are we citizens the ones who move it? Who does what? Where does it all start? How will it end like? Will we destroy it all or is it just normal evolution?

With all the above “kind of positive”

:)
thoughts in my mind, me and my wife decided to travel a few days to Soria (a Spanish very culturally reach region that I recommend you to visit) where 100% randomly we hit the below abandoned village in the middle of nowhere.

 What do you see in the above video and photos?

Ramdom destruction?; Pure organic matter?; The decomposed insides of what used to be firm structures?; The still lasting smell and sounds of people walking around the streets?; How nature and the slow but sudden passing of time induces spectacular free abstract compositions full of volumes, color and organic matter that make them simply perfect?; Earth colors; How nature ends up covering it all little by little?; Do you perceive silence?; What about beauty, do you see it?. I do.

Well, suddenly I found myself able to summarize all the above images and thoughts into a simple word, (upps, sorry, if you have watches Elisabeth´s Gilbert talk, maybe it was not 100% me after all). Decompositions, is the word that happens to be the name of my new abstract paintings series, and you are just about to see some of the first artworks:

And then the question arises. Was it me or does it all has to do with muses and geniuses? Whatever or whoever it is, let me tell you that I´m enjoying myself a lot on this new creative moment. Yessss!
