Abigail Olivia: 14 Month Update!

Well, you are well on your way to toddlerhood now, how are you 14 months old already? I'd like to know who gave you permission to grow up, they are in a lot of trouble! :). No longer are you my little baby who will happily fall asleep against my chest (although you did fall asleep against my leg the other night, so close enough!), you are a beautiful, intelligent and happy little girl and Daddy & I love you so so much!

You had your 1 year check up the other week and you are progressing amazingly, you are 76cm in height and weight 21lbs so you are right on target! The health visitor also mentioned how beautifully you walk, take that talipes!! We win! :). When you walk around we are so grateful that the physio worked on your little feet, no casts, no boots, just beautifully straight feet, it's an amazing feeling :). She is super happy with your progress and especially loved you showing off your beat boxing skills too! :)

You are really enjoying your food now, or should I say MY food...you could have the most delicious meal right infront of you, it could even be the exact same as mummy's but oh no, you will stretch and reach out of your highchair and grab it off my plate...hmmm. Your favorite things to eat are rice, bread, beans, spaghetti bolognese, pasta, carrots & potatoes! You also don't like to be fed anymore, you like to do it all yourself, independent woman already! :). Getting you to drink though is another story, you just don't like water, squash or juice! We are about to try you with cows milk so hopefully you'll like that, we had a recommendation to try a proper toddler cup rather than a beaker or sippy cup so we shall see if that helps!You are on 2 naps a day, one in the morning and a little afternoon one, total of around 4 hours, with 10 hours at night! With your teething at the moment (around 6 teeth coming through) the nights have been a little rocky, but who can blame you, that can't be much fun! Although last night you happily slept by yourself most of the night which was nice for me :)

You have such a fun personality, you're so confident already and love being around other people! You love books and story time too, you will bring over 4-5 books a day for me to read to you then when daddy comes home from work you give them to him too, if he asks you where spotty ladybird is you have a little think then go looking for it, and 10 times out of 10 you find it and bring it to us :).Your vocabulary is incredible, the Heath visitor was shocked at just how much you say! The usual first words from mommy to daddy and yeah and no, Monkey, bye daddy, hello, hiya, biscuit, boobie, Abbie, and so much more, I could probably say you can say around 50 words which is amazing! We are so proud of you! :). Oh and you have this Cloudbabies tv toy which plays the theme tune, so when we sing the song to you, you go through your toy box and find it for us! So clever! :)

Your favorite toys are your little yellow chair, the mr tumble plush, the giant mr bounce and your bouncy ball! As long as you have those, you're happy!
Daddy's iPad is your favorite thing, it's got lots of fun apps for you and you love the first words game so much, I think that's where you learnt most of your words from! Your least favorite thing is being told 'no', you will throw yourself on your bum and throw your little arms around whilst pretending to cry and all...we try not to laugh but it is rather funny! We thought we had a good year or so before you had tantrums but noooo they're out in full force, it doesn't take much to distract you though, usually some silly noises and faces and you're smiling away again! 
I'm sure I'm missing out lots of things but for now this is your update at 14 months, we are so lucky to have some a beautiful and well behaved little girl, you are full of so much love and share it with us every day, even with special little cuddles when you get tired, so precious! We love you lots princess :) x
