Abbie's Christmas Wish List

Christmas is almost here! YAY! I'm literally more excited than I have ever been as a child, it's no longer about the presents I get but what Abbie gets, last Christmas she was only 12 weeks old and happily sat in her bouncer whilst we opened her presents for her, but this year she can do it herself! I want to see her little face when we come down and 'santa' has been, watching her with all the presents..I know she'll probably prefer the wrapping paper still but that doesn't ruin the fun for me! :). Now she is a proper toddler, she needs toys which are going to work her brain, get her talking and interacting more, we had a trip to the doctors a month or so ago and she LOVED the toys in there, so we decided to create a wish list on things we think would be fun for her, most things are rather inexpensive too which is even better! A lot of toy websites around Christmas have such good offers on, so definately get in there quickly so you don't miss out! The top 3 things on Abbie's list are...

Clothes

In my opinion, a baby can never have too many clothes, the amount of times they spill things down them and at the rate they grow, youre gonna need to be prepared! I love it that Abbie is now in 12-18 month sizes as I can buy things knowing it's still going to fit her in a few months time too, rather than back when she seemed to grow a month every day! There's a new little website I have come across called Bebe Amor, which is an independent e-boutique specialising in children’s clothing of Spanish origin, I personally LOVE the spanish style and clothing design, they're unique, beautiful and always super stylish and on trend! My favorite little outfit is number 1 on my mood board above, I love the neutrel color and plaid skirt so much, definitely getting it for Abbie this year :)

Books

Storytime is literally her favorite thing to do, she has so many books I think we could open up our own library! She particularly loves the Usborne books 'That's not my...' series, she mastered most of them when she turned 7 months, pointing to everything and feeling the little patches of material! Every day without fail we will read all her books to her at least once, if not twice..if we ask her where a certain book is, she searches for it and brings it to us both to read to her, she's far too clever! She's just started reading her peek-a-boo books, she acts so surprised each time there's something underneath the tabs!

Rocking Horse

They are one of those toys that are timeless, if you ask your parents, they proably had one, ask yoir grandparents, they probably did, and ven way back into family history when woodwork was one of the main jobs around, rocking horses were one of the most popular items to make, alongside dolls houses! Nowadays they are rather different in how they look, still made with solid wood but now with pretty designed, padded & leatherette seats, just like number 6 in my board above,  it's from Little Bird Told Me and is called  Rufus & Ted (too cute!)this is the one we are looking at in particular, and the most endearing rocking horse too aparently, standing on a walnut stained bow rocking base and dressed in a textured chocolate & cream woven check fabric, a softly padded brown leatherette saddle and matching leatherette bridle, what toddler wouldn't want that? The reason for choosing this design is now only the quality but also because it can be used with any future babies we have, girls or boys, the colours are neutral so perfect for both sexes!

What are you getting for your toddler?
