It’s that time of year, and we’re taking a look back at the the top posts and moments for the last 365 days.
With 2013 winding down, we take a moment and look back at the year of ups and downs that we’ve had, and what were some of our most popular posts for the past year.
Top Posts for 2013
DOCTOR WHO: What is March 5, 2005?
When trying to figure out the mystery of Clara, we were shown a glimpse of a tombstone with the date, March 5, 2005, causing us to ask: “Is the date March 5, 2005 significant to Doctor Who lore? “
THE WALKING DEAD / SCOOBY-DOO Mashup Will Have You Craving More Than a Scooby Snack
One of my favorites, this comes from a photographer that gave us a look at what Mystery Inc would look like in a zombie apocalypse. You can check out the second post, showing more of these photos here “Will the Scooby Gang make it “Til the dawn” in the Zombie Apocalypse?”
X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Trailer Partially Leaks! (Catch it while you can!)
Title says it all, this was our first glimpse of the upcoming mutant outing, and people crave their mutants.
POLICE BOX PARADOX 016 : The Name of The Doctor / Nightmare in Silver
This one makes me happy, when one of our podcasts make it up on this list. The episode covering the end of last season makes the list for the year, and close to making it is our latest episode. Thank you all for listening!
Geekasms on the road: Cincinnati Comic Expo 2013
Coverage and a review of this past year’s Cincinnati Comic Expo from Troy proved to be a big draw for people, and understandably so.
Highlighted Moments
This year has truly been an up and down year for Geekasms, including site issues, social media success, and more.
Original site goes down, and the new domain is founded
This one flat out sucked. The original Geekasms.com was attacked from outside sources, had an inordinate amount of malicious code being applied to the site, causing all sorts of problems and forcing me to move to the new domain haveageekasm.com. All things good now though, and for me personally, I enjoy the new domain (and you can also get here via geekasms.com)
Troy joins the site
This could be a post all it’s own. There can be no words to describe how amazing and how important Troy has been to the site and maintaining it while I’ve gone through some personal things. Geekasms would not be without Troy the Geek!
Social Media Expansion
It’s a small success, but the expansion of our Twitter followers and Facebook likes on both Geekasms and Police Box Paradox has made all things that much more enjoyable. Along with the addition of the Geekasms group over on Google+, our coverage, along with conversations with others, is the largest yet, and still expanding
What’s coming in 2014
With all the expansion of the site in 2013, you’d wonder what could be in store for 2014. Bottom line: more unique articles and reviews, and giving you the best we can give. For your entertainment and ours.
Thank you for all the support in the past year, and may 2014 give you all you wish for.
