We have a guest blogger – Louisa Hillaby from Greenhead College Huddersfield. Here’s what she has to say about her week with GREEN Communications:

Being at the end of my first year of A-levels, the question I get asked the most is “what do you want to do in the future?” The first answer that comes to my head is “win the lottery and never work a day in my life” but being realistic, that’s not likely to happen.

Following my week of work experience at GREEN, the “never work a day in my life” bit is disappearing, I’ve realised that although having a proper job is tough it’s also a lot of fun and you learn something new every day. I’ve always been interested in English and I just love to write, so working at GREEN has been fantastic because I’ve been given the chance to write actual things that will be read by actual people, which is amazing.

Coming to the end of my week, there’s no doubt in my mind that the world of PR is a confusing one and admittedly I’ve been thrown in at the deep end but the novelty of writing, whether it’s a press release about a Funeral Exhibition (something I didn’t even know existed) or a Q and A on a company that I have absolutely no idea about, will never wear off for me. It’s been a very useful learning curve for me and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Thank you very much for having me! Louisa
