I’m on vacation!
We’ve stopped at a starbucks so I can get this quick little post in about all the fun we’re going to have on Maren’s Morsels this weekend.
We ended up leaving Salinas at 12:45. I even managed to get in a workout. I was a little pressed for time. Actually I think I ran an 8 minute mile around my neighborhood because I was worried about getting home to shower.
My Quick I’m Late for Vacation Workout.
- run 1 mile
- do 10 glute leg raises with a step through into a lunge on each side
- 15 push ups
- 50 crunches
- 25 oblique crunches on each side
Call it a day, hit the showers and get your bootay on the road for vacation!
We just stopped for lunch at Red Robin in Gilroy.
Max and I LOVE Red Robin and there isn’t one in Monterey or Salinas so when we’re going through Gilroy at about lunch-time the R-R is always on our list of places to stop at.
Max ordered the Burnin’ Love burger which is a spicy burger with fried jalapeno rings, pepper jack cheese, and salsa.
After thinking I’d chosen what I was having 5 different times I ordered the California Chicken Sandwich with no mayo or cheese. It had a tasty bun, a skinless chicken breast, huge pickle spears, tomato, lettuce, bacon and guacamole.
I stayed on the more nutritious side for my sandwich because I HAD to have the garlic fries!!!
These are so good! I said ohh shit shitakes after the first bite. Max laughed.
I managed to only eat about 800 calories and I got a serving of healthy fats! Not to shabby for lunch on the road.

- I’ve now lost at total of 15 pounds and I’m in the 150’s. This morning I stepped onto a scale that said 159.3 lbs. WOW.
- I’m running like a beast, streakin’ the days away.
- I’m cooking like… like… martha stewart or something.
