I’ve enjoyed this week – a few deep and meaningfuls fell out of my typing fingers and we had a couple of good discussions. Not to forget some great photography on the blog for you all to enjoy. Here’s what English Wedding got up to last week:
On Wednesday I banned budget weddings from the dictionary. (I can do that.) And you came up with some brilliant new ideas: my favourites was the ‘more-than-money wedding’, I love that idea!
We had a lovely day on Thursday with Claire and Nick’s Kew Gardens wedding, submitted by Martin Beddall, a great documentary wedding photographer in Sussex. I’ve been having a lovely chat with Martin via email and he inspired me to write a blog post I’ve had in the back of my mind for months…The right kind of photography for wedding blogs? What are your thoughts about showing all the details vs telling a beautiful story in pictures? I LOVE stories – so English Wedding is a balance of stories and details. Comments are still open on this discussion, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
I ended the week with a stunning, sizzling engagement shoot by the gorgeously talented wedding photographer Cat Hepple. If you didn’t see it yesterday, go have a peek now – it’s electric!
Then there’s a Monday Makerie with some gorgeous wedding DIY ideas, some thoughts on weddings taking over your life (and great resources for getting your life back!) and more inspiring and beautiful wedding photography for you to enjoy.
I’ll pop a sneak preview on the English Wedding facebook page for anyone who simply can’t wait…
Have a lovely Sunday everyone!
