A Speech for Children's Day.

Posted on the 14 November 2011 by Vandanan @vandanan_m

November 14th is celebrated as children’s day. A day set aside to remember India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, whose birthday falls on this day. Chachaji conveyed the message that each living thing is unique and has its own value. We may look down at insects as the lowest form of life. But as he said, they have learnt the art of cooperation and sacrifice far better than human beings. Though the millions of people in India are divided horizontally by race, tribe, and caste, I wish we all stand as one and as remarkable as the way our country appears on the world map. This day is very significant to us- it reminds us that we are not just the children of the present, but citizens of the future. This is the day that everyone unleashes the child within them- the child they once were or still are.We, as the building blocks of the nation, must fulfill our responsibility to our country. We are responsible for what we are, and whatever we wish to do, and have the power to make it in the future. We, children are the world’s most valuable resources and its best hope for the future. I also remember those children who are less privileged than any one of us- they should also have a chance to celebrate children’s day.I wish for peace, not only for our country but for the whole world. I wish the sparrows will sing for more years and for the generations to hear them.May all the children of the world be the dream- that they dream.
I wish you all a very happy children's day.

Thank you.
