Internationally acclaimed music maestro A R Rahman who has multiple Oscars and Grammys to his credit was awarded the best music director for ‘Rockstar’ at the 18th Annual Colors Screen Awards 2012.
The 46 year Rahman expressed his gratitude to the Jury and his fans for the award he won for his music in the film ‘Rockstar’ directed by Imtiaz Ali.
Simply outstanding music director A R Rahman wrote: “I am thrilled and humbled…… would like to thank the Screen Awards Jury, my fans and the whole team of Rockstar- Imtiaz, the producers Ashtavinayak, Eros, Ranbir, Nargis (Fakhri), Irshad (Kamil), Mohit (Chauhan) and my lovely team……..Above all, Almighty God for filling me up with music, still”.
His Bollywood projects have become few due to his work commitments abroad. His music will next be heard in Gautham Menon’s Film “Ek Dewana Tha”.
